Trace G.Stylish and comfy bed that will make yourThis bed is very nice looking and is well-made. I like the fact that the sling part has Velcro on it. This way it’s replaceable, and if I need to give it a good scrub, I can take it completely off. You don’t need to do that, as the metal is powder coated and should resist rust, but it’s an option. It’s plenty big for our 50 pound mixed breed plus her 20 pound Boston brother to cuddle up together. Also, it fits our dog bed perfectly, and it’s a nice option to keep the bed off the floor. We use this inside and outside during the day, and most likely we will use it without the bed on top outside. The sling bed keeps the dogs off the hot deck, and also allows airflow to keep them cool. The dogs actually like lying in the bed, and it’s the same type of bed that they use at the kennel because it’s easy to clean. The sling mattress is easy on dog joints and can handle lots of dog drool and bone chewing. There’s not much to chew on this bed in case you have a naughty little puppy. Ours initially chewed their beds and then got out of the habit. I guess one could still chew the sling, but I don’t think it would be much fun.The bed was easy to put together and looks really sharp in our room. The style would pretty much match any decor style from classic to modern. I like the shiny black color. There are also nonstick pads under the feet, so it’s perfect for the floor and won’t scratch, Although, I wouldn’t slide it across with the dog on top of it. It is light weight but sturdy It’s also a considerable upgrade from the cheap sling beds that are sold with the hollow metal tubing as it has couch-like arms and a back, which dogs like a lot better.

Stephanie GutierrezCuteFirst reactions:Comes with no instruction manual- but since there are 8 parts total- it wasn’t hard to figure out what needed to go where.—but with that being said—One of the 8 parts was made slightly lopsided- (the left side “legs”) #4 in the picture above (the one I outlined in color green) connects to the #3 (the yellow railing) and since it was made lopsided- it didn’t allow me to connect the parts together. But I fixed it, and then the bed was easier to build!-if you run into the same problem- which I think I just got a slightly “faulty” side) all I did was take the tool it comes with- and just push the metal piece outwards to make more space for the piece to fit)Final takes:The bed is gorgeous! Looks exactly as it does in the picture (and honestly bigger than I expected) the only “trouble” I came into contact with was that faulty left leg- but its nothing that can’t be fixed- and not sellers fault. Not everything can be made perfect! All in all- great item!

aTypicalEngineer808As compared to a Cool-a-roo Large bedSummary: Back in July 2019, we ordered a Large size cool-a-roo for our Fox-Terrier/Jack-Russell (35#, medium size). Will compare this and another VEEHOO (previous Vine review) to the COOL-A-ROO.Comparison: The first thing I noticed when looking at the specifications is that the frame uses rectangular tubing, and watching the video, the cast aluminum clam-shell style corner pieces looked very robust, and easy to assemble. The Cool-a-roo on the other hand is tubular steel, and even though the screws are tight, the frame will twist when you pick it up to carry. The VEEHOO has a slightly smaller overall footprint for the same relatively bed size (about 12" less, 6" from either side). The VEEHOO material feels thicker than the Cool-a-Roo (maybe 1.5x to 2x thicker).Observations: The VEEHOO arrives partially assembled, you need to insert the 1/4" stiffening rods, then slide the short frame pieces on, then add all the clam shell corners. One feature I don't think was listed is that the legs are removable via a quick release push pin; added a picture with the leg removed, which would allow it to be shorter for storage under a bed. The overall construction is very good, but there was some minor quality issues with the aluminum frame pieces, specifically the holes for screws have flashing left behind; which I removed and then filed smooth. The ends of the frame extrusions are a little sharp, and that is important because the bed material could fail if it is cut by a sharp edge of the frame piece. The VEEHOO will stand vertically on either long or short side for storage.Recommendations: 1) If you're handy with tools, I would spend a minute to remove any sharp edges from the frame pieces, especially the ends that slip over stiffening rod area of the bed. 2) I stored the spare nuts/bolts inside one of the quick release legs, and marked it with red electrical tape. 3) The hex wrench is 4mm. 4) Reading other reviews, the bed material will fail under heavy loads (like an X-large dog), but the material can also give way if punctured by a sharp dog claw; so we put a towel/sheet over the top to try and help the bed material last. 5) During assembly, install all the screws loose, and then go back and tighten; might help with getting the last corner installed. 6) Use a lighter to singe any loose threads.Pros: Sturdy construction; simple to assemble (includes tools, and spare nuts & bolts);Cons: Price, top of the dog bed market. Conclusion: At $80, this is over twice the price of a Cool-a-roo, but it is very well made, and a superior design, so rating it 5-stars.
