Place training is super important for a new dog or puppy. And for whatever reason, dogs seem to prefer this type of elevated bed instead of a bed that’s on the floor-level. This was unknown to me until working with a fantastic obedience trainer. It’s easy to assemble, lightweight, and comes in great color options. I went with the beige and black color combo and I’m glad I did. Most of my furniture has a mid-century vibe, with lots of wood tones, earth tones, and black metal hardware. This fits in so well and doesn’t scream “dog product” like so many options out there. I also love that the corners are reinforced. I had one previously with open corners and my dog would love to chew on the exposed edge of the fabric.I recommend not tightening all of the screws until you’ve got all the pieces in place. Otherwise it can be a challenge to get it assembled properly and keep it level on the floor. I learned this the hard way. For the price this is a very nice product. Though it might be more expensive than the competition, I know from experience that it’s worth it. This one will last far longer and looks so much better.I also recommend this type of bed over a plush bed. Research seems to show that dogs prefer sleeping on a hard flat surface, so fluffy plush beds may look more comfy to a human, but dogs don’t really need that. There’s enough give in this dog bed that it’s not a super hard surface or anything, but it kind of cradles the dog in a gentle way without being too soft.

This bed does not have exposed edges of fabric which leaves less for a puppy to be tempted to grab and chew during place training. Many other brands of beds have 4 exposed fabric edges. It was easy to assemble. I am using for my 30lb 5 month old English Setter puppy and it has tons of extra room for him to grow. He invited himself up and plopped down immediately before I intended to begin training which threw me off but he is still learning great. He must think it is comfortable because it is a favorite napping location, even before we began place training.

This is big enough for TWO large dogs to lay on curled up or one on its side with PLENTY of room to spare. It was easy to put together. What I really like about it, opposed to the smaller sizes, is that there is no exposed edge to be chewed. I have geese out back where this is going to go and geese CHEW....anything and everything new and different to see what it is. The other smaller dog beds have the exposed corners chewed. That can't happen with this one cause they are all covered. MOST Excellent. I'll recommend it to my goose friends as my geese also love laying on the cot dog beds too- bonus!!

For the most part, I like the design, but disappointed with the footing!
