Veehoo Chew-Proof Dog Bed - Silver Aluminum Frame

We sometimes look after our neighbours dog and in the recent hot weather, she needed somewhere off my concrete back garden to rest in the shade so she didn't over heat. This was the prefect solution, and though on the tad expensive side in my opinion, provided the relief needed for her.Lightweight and sturdy once up, this elevated bed takes a bit to get together but once it's up, it is durable, easy to clean and seems comfortable. I placed the raised bed near my little ones sprinkler at one point and my neighbours dog simply chilled out getting a spritz while lazying around in the shade so I think it's safe to say she loved it!It has a good quality aluminium frame with fun dog feet rubber feet allowing it to remain stable and in one place. The mesh fabric design is easy to clean and wipe down after use. Dog hair is so easy to brush away and the fabric allows it to wash and dry really quick and easily. It also allows for air to flow so the dog gets air flowing all around him/her when lying on it.As it is so lightweight, it is easy to transport and can be used for a many different outings - my neighbour asked if they could use it when they go on their caravan holiday so I'm sure it will come in handy them. The only niggle for me is the price but I'm assured by my neighbour it's not too overly priced in comparison to other dog bed items so I'll have to take his word for it. I guess if you have a doggy family member in need of a place to cool off, this is worth it and I and my neighbour's dog can certainly recommend.

Stella enjoys her new bed. She is 80lbs and we got the XL. I think this size is perfect for her and I would not have wanted anything smaller for her. I took off 1 star because it does really slide around on the hardwood floor. I will have to find a better way to keep it from sliding.

Update...I was completely wrong.They sent the right one.Great solid bed.I know our dog loves it, he has the same "I told you so" look on his face like my wife does..Again very sorry.They sent us a small bed instead of a medium size bed.Now for the fun time sending it back.

Easy to assemble. High quality and so far passes for chew proof! Very comfortable for a 60lb golden retriever. Breathable and stays cool. I think we stretch the weight limit when the kids hop on too...but holds up perfect. Definitely recommend!

Delivery was very quick. Put togeather in 10-15 mins and looks very strong. Dogs have not even tried to chew it.

It's a Medium size one, very sturdy build and the middle material is firm and airy. The assembly is easy and it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The metal alloy frame is well built and never rust. Doggy is finding it very comfy and i think it's a good idea to let them cool off on this bed while we are enjoying the sunshine outdoor.

Bed seems to be well made, and it was not hard to assemble by myself. Not sure why there were so many people that say its hard to assemble. If you follow the directions about not overtightening the first 3 screws/bolts until the 4th one is in place it was easy. My package was missing several of the locking nuts, but I have emailed to Veehoo and they say they will send them to me. When my German Shepherd lays with her body and legs fully extended, this bed is the perfect size. She is at about 80lbs. I think the Large size would have been a little too small. Very happy with my purchase and the quality. My dog does not chew things so I m not sure how chew proof it may be.

This dog bed arrives flat packed and so requires assembly but this is relatively straight forward and took me around 15 minutes. Once assembled, the bed is very sturdy and extremely comfortable with a nice cushioned top layer, which reminds us of a trampoline base and it's not too high for your dog to jump on.This dog bed is something your dog will welcome in the hot weather as the mat is quite cool so is a very cooling and comfortable place to sleep.I went for the medium size and this is plenty large enough for our Lhasa Apso, even when stretched out but it does come in other sizes too. I really like the paw prints on the feet but I do wish they feet would fold up flat to make it easier for storage.I really like this dog bed, particularly how solid and well made it is. My only complaint apart from the fact it doesn't fold up flat for storage is regarding the price as £72.99 at the time of review does seem excessive but if you're happy to pay it then it's a fantastic dog bed and your dog will be sure to thank you in hot weather!

This dog bed is very easy to assemble there are 2 rods to put in the ends then slide the aluminium edge on put the corners then 2 bolts in each corner even I managed to do it and normally I have to get my husband.The dog bed allows air flow to go under my dogs keeping them much cooler in the warmer weather, it also states it is anti chew my dogs have not tried to chew it yet so I cannot comment on that. The large size is quite big my 3 dogs all fit on it at once.Overall a great dog bed which will be great in the summer, but I do feel it is slightly expensive at the current price of £77.99.

We got the XL for our 100 lb+ GSD and he likes it so far. Have yet to see how durable it is in the long term. The material seems a little on the thin side but so far, so good.
