Veehoo Center Console Dog Car Seat

We took our dog on a trip last weekend. The first she rode in this little copilot seat she still wanted to get out and sit on my lap. But when we drove home, she understood the assignment and rested her little head on the dip in the front of the seat and watched the world go by. I made it more stable by attaching the carrying handles to purse hooks I have the on the back of each headrest.

I've tried different types of dog car seats and favor this kind that sits on the center console between the driver and front passenger seat. This seat from Veehoo packs some pluses, one being luxuriously upholstered. Another is that it can function as a seat or carrier. I haven't tried it as a carrier, but it's good to know the function is available. As a car seat, it's stellar and looks really well made. Putting it in the car was easy. I recommend spending the most time with the adjustable straps that wrap beneath. They keep the seat on the console. A hook and strap at the seat secure a pet in place, but don't look very substantial. Hence, the 12 pound weight limit I suspect. In the case of a sudden stop, only the strap would keep a pet in place, so I plan to attach it to a harness versus a collar. See picture. The price is much less than another car seat we have that's not as stylish and has no washable parts. I'm rating the Veehoo car seat five stars for being safely functional, stylish and affordable.

*We got a new pup, and this is a really convenient way for her to ride with us. The dog took to it immediately, and seems to feel very safe & relaxed in it.

These center console dog car seats for small dogs up to 12lbs have been a convenient addition to our car for our furry companions. Made for little dogs!! My Dachsahuahua has a fairly long body, so at 12 lbs, she is just able to sit in it, not lay down in it. However, it does keep her in one place while I am driving, which I am very thankful for. She is just the limit to which dog will fit into this carrier.

This works well for transporting a pup around in the car/larger SUV. This isn't designed for a small car honestly this is more for a larger car unless you are putting this in a backseat and/or front seat. This is fairly wide for most center consoles. This works well, even with it being easy to clean it really is designed for a larger vehicle I am ok with that - I just think a prevision to hook it better into a front seat would be great.

I loved the look and feel of this carrier/pet car seat. It is well made and comfy for my pet. She is tiny and still has room to grow. My only issue was attaching it to the console. It was not secured tightly and did move around a bit. My console is a funny shape, not quite a perfect rectangle, so some of the problem to secure it firmly has to do with the car manufacturing. All in all it is a comfortable, nicely padded, and soft but sturdy pet carrier, which is what I have been using it for. I would buy it again for pet carrying, and if my car were different, it would probably fit securely as a car seat.

I got this dog carrier for my mini dachshund. She fits perfectly in the carrier, helping her to feel secure and calm. It was very easy to install. The padding on the bottom is thick and comfortable. This seems really well made. It has zippers on each panel so you can take the cover off to wash it. I am impressed!

This is the second one of these we have gotten as Kenji loves it and wanted one for both Dads' cars. Kenji is a 4-pound little so safety is paramount, but he's also quite nosey and wants to see everything. This seat fits both these requirements as he gets to be strapped in and see everything. And it's great to have him between the parents.

This console car seat has really helped with my one year old mini poodle for when I take him in the car. He hated being in a few other larger car seats that were attached on the passenger seat (and has thrown up a few times while he’s been riding) I honestly think that the confines of the seat is comforting to him and he feels more secure with him for not feeling like he’s rocking. The padding is super thick and so comfortable for him and he can rest his head on the little pillow/pad in the front when he finally relaxes a bit. This seat is sooo well made and it seems a lot more padded and cozy than any of the other car seats I’ve tried with him. This one’s a winner. Plus, he’s right next to me and that’s got to be more relaxing for him and I can let him if he seems anxious. It’s really nice looking also in the car. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a console style car seat. For reference: my Pickles is 10 lbs and I was i worried thst he would be too long for it, because he’s 10 libs but has a long body, and he isn’t.. he’s really comfortable and not squished in like I was afraid of.
